Robert has 15+ years in software development, application architecture and technical leadership. He specializes in managing software development in multi-national distributed environments using modern open-source technologies.

Corl is happy to announce the appointment of Robert Bialek as Head of Engineering, effective immediately. Robert is currently VP of Technology at IOU Financial and he will report directly to Sam Kawtharani, Corl’s Co-Founder and CEO. Robert and Sam were colleagues at IOU Financial and were both influential in taking the company from startup to successful IPO.

“Robert shares the same blockchain vision we have and I am happy to be working alongside him again.” said Sam. “His technical leadership and experience building scalable and open-source technology provides a great asset to our company’s future.”

As Head of Engineering, Robert will be responsible for development of the Corl platform, data architecture design and management of the development team, as well as working alongside our CEO, Sam, to provide technical insight into regulatory decisions.

“I chose Corl because I get to combine my financial, technical and crypto passions to help companies grow in the new, crypto-currency driven economy.” said Robert. “I’m proud to be contributing to a better tomorrow for my children and for humanity.”

Robert holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Copenhagen. He also co-founded and successfully exited one of the world’s first peer-to-peer lending solutions, FairRates, which was acquired by IOU Financial.

We look forward to creating tomorrow with you, Robert.
